Gloria Steinem co-founded Ms. Magazine in 1972 with Patricia Carbine.

Today most people don't know what the term Ms. means.

But in 1974 it had entered the dictionary and there was a demonstration in front of the NY Times

to pressure them to adopt the term MS. Women for Changing the Times, an employee pressure group,

and Majority Report helped organize the protest of sexism at the Times.
