DMH Spotlight - National Museum of American Jewish History Back

"The Museum opened a new, state-of-the-art 100,000 square-foot building on Independence Mall in November 2010. The Museum's core exhibition covers over 350 years of Jewish life in America through original artifacts, images, multimedia experiences, hands-on interactives and films.

In a section of the core exhibition on the social movements of the 1960s-70s, the Museum is partnering with the Jewish Women's Archive on creating a "flipbook" of images and statements from their online exhibition, Jewish Women and the Feminist Revolution. In addition to images and original artifacts on view in this area of the exhibition, the flipbook will be an interactive opportunity for visitors to read and delve deeper into a selection of statements and photographs by Jewish leaders from this era. The flipbook will be a stationary learning tool in the exhibition.

For this flipbook we would like to reproduce your photograph, "Marching into the First National Women's Conference, Houston, 1977," together with an excerpt from the statement you prepared for the JWA exhibition. We are honored to include your work and your thoughts in this learning opportunity for our visitors." - Ivy Weingram, Assistant Curator.
