One- Room Schools and Schoolteachers of Vermont.

This project was the brain child of Blue Magruder, of Earthwatch, who asked me to photograph in connection with the oral history project Earthwatch was sponsoring in Vermont under the leadership of Professor Margaret Nelson of Middlebury College.

The school in this invitation was one of five one-room schools still operating in Vermont in 1980.
